David Martinez lives with his mother, Gloria, in a poor district of Night City while attending the elite Arasaka Academy. With his future at the academy collapsing, David visits a ripperdoc and asks him to install the Sandevistan. The episode ends as David chooses dangerous cyberware over the powerless life that Night City has imposed on him.
