Returned to the mansion’s first morning, Subaru repeats his request to become a servant and tries to reconstruct the four days preceding his unexplained death. Determined to survive the night when he previously died, he reviews every contact and possible source of danger, but exhaustion defeats him. Subaru wakes violently ill, with his strength and senses failing as though something is draining his life. He staggers into the hallway seeking help. Before he can identify the threat, an unseen attacker strikes with a chained weapon, brutally tearing him apart and ending the loop before the promised morning arrives.
