Bang and Bomb attack Garou together, overwhelming their wounded opponent. As he struggles, Garou remembers being bullied by a child named Tat-Chan, who made him play the monster while the other children acted as heroes and beat him. Garou connects that experience to his belief that popular heroes impose justice through superior numbers and social approval. The memory drives him to resist briefly, but the brothers regain control. Phoenix Man suddenly rescues Garou and calls Elder Centipede to cover their escape. Bang and Bomb combine their techniques and crack the giant monster’s armor, only for it to molt, regenerate, and return larger. Genos enters the creature’s body and unleashes his full firepower, but Elder Centipede survives and crushes him. Genos despairs over failing to stop another enemy while Bang prepares to risk his life. King arrives with a megaphone and claims that Blast, the top-ranked hero, is coming, provoking Elder Centipede into charging him. Saitama appears at the decisive moment and destroys the monster with a Serious Punch. Afterward, Genos asks what he lacks. Saitama answers simply that he needs more power. Phoenix Man carries the unconscious Garou to meet Orochi.
