Summary
Source-backed · Version: v1 · Original
Violet continues defending Dietfried, losing one prosthetic arm in the fighting. Violet and Benedict climb beneath the moving train to remove them. Her remaining arm breaks under the strain, but they clear the charges in time and the delegation reaches the conference. Leidenschaftlich and Gardarik sign the peace treaty, bringing the long war to an official end. Back in Leiden, the revived Air Show invites citizens to release letters from airplanes across the country. Cattleya suggests that Violet write to Gilbert, but she initially cannot decide what remains unsaid. Dietfried takes her to meet his mother, who does not blame Violet for Gilbert's death and explains that a loved one continues within the memories of those left behind. Dietfried acknowledges that Violet has become an independent person rather than the tool he once delivered to his brother. Violet finally writes Gilbert a letter describing the lives she has encountered, her decision to keep living, and her growing understanding of “I love you.” She releases it during the Air Show while retaining hope that he may somehow be alive. The next day, fitted with repaired arms, she accepts another client and introduces herself confidently as an Auto Memory Doll.
